Back to Basics: Cinnamon & Clove Tea

This is a super short post on one of my favourite teas. My mom always would make cinnamon and clove tea in a jazzve before bed, sometimes steeped a bit during the day. I always loved the taste, as the two complement each other very well, with the cloves giving a nice little kick and spice, and the cinnamon mellowing out the cloves with a slightly sweet and aromatic flavour.

Just add a cinnamon stick and about 5 or 6 cloves (or how much you can handle) and put them in a jazzve, kettle, or pot and cover with water. About 15-20 minutes before you plan to drink it, just put it over a low/medium flame until it warms up and the colour has darkened significantly. Turn the heat off and cover it for about 5 minutes and enjoy!
